"Voting in my first election was a remarkably humbling experience. As a kid, you grow up hearing of the importance of voting but you never really understand the true impact that one vote can amount to. The United States was built on a notion that the people’s voices matter. Well today, we are the people and on November 8th 2016, my voice mattered. When reading through the election material and reviewing the propositions, one can not help but feel a sense of fulfillment to their civic duty. This election has taught me many lessons and no matter the outcome, my voice was heard when I cast my first ballot."
